All persons must wear a face mask and adhere to all health protocols and social distancing measures when entering a public park, to limit exposure to COVID -19: Provided that a person undertaking vigorous sporting activity is not obliged to wear a face mask, during such activity.

Please note that No Pets are allowed in the Reserve as it is a conservation area.

Family photo shoots and General photo shoots are allowed and is subject to the Standard Conservation fee per person entering.

The picnic and fishing area is open to the public and is subject to strict adherence to all health protocols and social distancing measure including the mandatory wearing of face masks. Anyone contravening the regulations will be asked to leave the premises.

Costs for picnic entry is R 30 per adult and R 15 per child under 12. Costs for Fishing is R 100 per adult and R 35 per child under 12.

In order to comply with social distancing protocols, there is a daily maximum of picnic and fishing spots available and this will be allocated on a first come first served basis and entry to the picnic and fishing area will be denied once the maximum capacity has been reached to avoid the area being overcrowded.

A maximum of 10 people per 1 picnic or fishing spot will be allowed in order to avoid large gatherings.

Entry tickets to be obtained from the Reserve Gate. Please contact the gate to enquire if space is available prior to arriving. No entry into the picnic area will be allowed without a valid ticket.

Please Note That The Braai Area Will Now Be Available For Use And Gas Braais Are Allowed

No entry into the picnic and fishing area will be allowed without a valid ticket. Combo tickets for cyclists, hikers and runners that would also like to picnic is available and prices can be obtained from the gate.
